Alaap - the introduction

I talk incessantly about music; more specifically Hindustani Classical music. A friend suggested I 'Blog'....and I landed here! I filled in the required details and had to think of a name for my blog. I didn't want something that would indicate an 'in the face' bragging of the music I so love; this was meant to be a place where my thoughts were out in the open, for me to share, and everyone else to understand, appreciate, criticise....so it came to be called 'Thoughts that breathe...'!

Atlast ... yet another foray into yet another field. I sure hope to be one of those that benefit from the information coming up here. Though I don't know if knowing the nuances of music would change me from being an innocent listener ...

After reading the "Innocent Listener", I am thinking that since the listener has such an active participation in it, that, may be they are not innocent after all!!

I really did not know that as a listener too you had so much to do!

Good one! Keep it going!
