Remember the paper plane you made
That soared the skies, as high as your arm?
Or the time when you stood on the edge of a wall
And pretended to fly with no fear of harm!
When the knowledge of lenses made you ponder
Wanting to bring the moon from the sky a little closer?
But then you settled, instead
For its reflection in a plate full of water!
When the kite took love up to the skies
Serenading its way into a lady’s heart!
Recollect the time you tossed your graduation cap,
Ready to draw your own graph, on life’s chart?
As you look out of the window on that plane,
Clouds for company along the lanes in the sky;
When the journey of life makes you realise
That there never is a sky too high!
