We spend a life time creating memories and they replay at
the least expected of times.
As I was cleaning up a carton full of life’s embellishments
collected over the years, I found an old book of poems that influenced me
during the wonder years, each one written down, reflecting a taste in the
choice of poetry and a childlike enthusiasm. And taking a break from cleaning,
I began reading every poem, note and post-script that I had jotted in there! As
the memories come pouring, quenching a life parched for that modicum of tiny
pleasures, I am glad that I carry with me the benefits of some time well spent –
reading some good literature, jotting down observations and preserving thoughts
for posterity.
