The Butterfly in my Mind

I recently completed a programme in Public Policy – among the most mentally challenging and intellectually stimulating activities that I’ve been involved with in the last couple of years; ofcourse, the demands of the programme did take me away from a few other things that I have otherwise been passionately pursuing. And so, when I resurfaced in the social scene, a film-maker friend asked if I had completed writing the two books that I have been work-in-progress for a while now. Many of my friends refer to my involvement in various activities as suffering from an attention deficit disorder; taking their comments a bit seriously I spent some time in deliberation and concluded that it’s my mind that’s to blame – it thirsts for more experiences, more knowledge, more opportunities to do my bit for the society I am a part of, interaction with more people – interesting, boring, talkative, arrogant, argumentative, amusing, entertaining, serious, reclusive, nerdy, disrespectful, opportunistic, quiet et al – and more feathers to my cap (surely not a dunce cap!), much like a butterfly that flits gracefully from one flower to another.
Afterall, what’s a song that’s stuck in the same groove over a life-long-play!

No two Sunrises are the same….
