Loop-Sided!

The advantages of being a (by)product of a mixed marriage is that you learn more languages and are exposed to more cultures and traditions! Add to that the fact that I was brought up in different parts of this vast country, then it helps me understand so many more languages ...and enjoy good music.

Based on Raga Bihag/ Behag, this song has often played in loop in my head, my phone, iPod (yes, I still use my Classic!), iPad and laptop! 

I’ve attempted to jot down the Tamil lyrics and also provide a rough translation.

I asked for flowers, you got me the forest;

I got lost in the jungle, you came as the pathway

I got lost in the darkness, you came as a beacon of light

Where should I lose myself, that you will come to me?

I fell into a pit, you took me to heights (peak?)

I fell into water, you took me to the banks (ashore)

What must I fall into, that you will keep me by your side?
