Strength

When you stand by your friend come what may

And do what you believe in, even if problems come your way;

When you apologise if someone is hurt by what you do or say

It’s the strength of your character that saves the day.

When everyone around believes you cannot succeed

But in your mind you know you can, indeed;

When the world gives up on you when you fall

It’s your strength of conviction that makes you walk tall.

When you make way for someone in the walk of life

It only means you have the strength to face more strife!

In relinquishing for someone what you wanted the most

It was your strength that got you to the winning post.

When the day seems gloomy and spirits are down

And you bring some cheer that wipes away the frown;

When everyone around you is burdened by defeat

It is your strength of faith that helps the blues beat!

It’s okay to cry once in a while

For it’s your strength that will bring back the smile;

Resting awhile is not a sign of weakness

It’s but a reaffirmation of your strength and uniqueness!
